A Be the Summer piece is made to move through your whole wardrobe – a pop of colour against a plain white tee, a warm gold detail under your winter coat, a pearl or gemstone that catches the light with whatever you already own. Each collection tells its own story, but every piece is designed to be worn, not saved for one occasion.
It all begins in my small Copenhagen studio, where I design each piece and choose every freshwater pearl and gemstone for its colour and the way it catches the light.

A ONE-WOMAN STUDIO
Be the Summer began in 2023 after founder Esther moved from Singapore to Denmark — what started as a creative outlet during a season of change became a studio built around colour, craftsmanship, and the feeling of summer. Every piece is assembled by hand in Copenhagen.

What materials do you use?
14k gold-filled components, freshwater pearls, natural gemstones, and 18k gold-plated stainless steel — chosen to hold up to everyday wear.
Are your pieces handmade?
Yes. I make my pieces by hand in my Copenhagen studio, choosing every pearl and stone myself, either to order or in small batches of two to four for markets and Ossolo.
The little Veya stud is the one piece I source. It is the spark that started the whole Veya series, and every design that grew from it is handmade.
Because pearls and gemstones are natural, no two pieces are ever quite the same.
Where can I see your jewellery in person?
A small selection is at Ossolo CPH, Oehlenschlægersgade 32, 1663 Copenhagen V, open Thursday to Sunday.
I also bring small batches to design markets around Denmark, announced first on Instagram.
How long until my order ships?
Please allow 3–5 business days for your piece to be made and dispatched — a little longer during busy periods or for customised orders.
How should I care for my jewellery?
Keep it away from water, perfume, lotions and harsh chemicals, and store it somewhere dry when you're not wearing it. See our full Jewellery Care Guide for material-specific tips.
Can I return my order?
Yes — you have 14 days from delivery to return eligible items for an exchange, shop credit, or refund. Return shipping is covered by the customer.
