Hi, I’m Esther — the hands and heart behind Be the Summer.

Be the Summer is a small, independent jewellery brand rooted in warmth, intention, and quiet optimism. It lives mostly online, with occasional moments in the physical world — at design markets across Denmark — where I get to meet people, hear their stories, and see how they connect with my work.

I started this brand after moving from tropical Singapore to Denmark — two very different worlds. In that transition, I found myself missing the sun, the light, and the everyday brightness I grew up with. Making jewellery became a way to hold onto that feeling — to create pieces that carry warmth, softness, and presence.

Over time, my approach has grown more considered. I’m drawn to fewer materials, calmer palettes, and designs that feel grounded rather than loud. Each piece is made slowly, with care and intention — designed to be worn often, cherished over time, and valued for how it makes you feel, not just how it looks.

Be the Summer is about small moments of joy — a sense of calm, a quiet glow, a reminder of something meaningful. Jewellery that feels personal, human, and gently uplifting.
