Designing Chérie

Chérie began with a simple question:

How could the feeling of spring live within Uva?

I imagined cherry blossom season — soft, fleeting, and quietly joyful. That thought brought me back to April 2018, when I visited the Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival in Seoul. The trees were in full bloom, the air carried a gentle sweetness, and everything felt light, yet grounded.

That memory stayed with me — and slowly shaped Chérie.

I began by sketching and working through the necklace first. Soft pinks, lilacs, and peaches found their way in, alongside playful textures that still felt balanced. I explored a more clustered, Uva-inspired form — familiar, but lighter.

Once the necklace felt right, the earrings followed — delicate, almost like a small string of garden candies.

The choker came last. Unplanned, but inevitable. I wanted a piece that sat close to the skin and carried that same soft spring feeling when worn alongside the necklace.

Chérie is gentle, bright, and quietly playful — designed to be worn easily, with just enough glow.

Thank you for being here as she bloomed 🌸

With love,
Esther
