Designing Chérie 🌸🍒

Hi again! Just popping in to share a little behind-the-scenes on Chérie — a sweet spring-inspired series that includes a necklace, choker, and earrings.

It all started with a question that came to mind:

✨ “How do I bring the feeling of spring into Uva?”

That one question opened up a bunch more:

🌸 “What if it felt like cherry blossom season?”
🍒 “How would Uva look like as a necklace?”
🎨 “Can it be sweet… with a hinge of colour fun?”

That early spring feeling reminded me of a trip to Seoul in April 2018, when I visited the Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival. The trees were in full bloom, the air smelled sweet, and the spring breeze felt gentle — everything felt light, yet right.

That memory stayed with me, and quietly shaped Chérie.

From there, I sketched my first ideas and began piecing things together slowly — starting with the necklace. I pulled out soft pinks, lilacs, peaches, and a few playful textures I couldn’t resist — colours that felt gentle, but still full of personality.

I experimented with a more clustered, Uva-inspired form.

Once that took shape, the earrings followed — sweet like a little string of garden candies.

The choker came last — unplanned, but somehow necessary. I wanted something that could sit close to the skin and really carry that soft spring feeling when paired together with the necklace.

Each piece in Chérie has that soft, bright spirit — playful and wearable, with just enough glow. Hope you enjoy seeing how she bloomed 🌸

With love,
Esther
